The cornerstones of Combat in DeFi Kingdoms

Greetings, adventurers! In this article we are providing a list and definition of the current Keywords that will be relevant to the Combat System, as well as revealing the planned abilities that correspond to the Genetic Traits of Heroes.

Combat Keywords

Keywords have set meanings and impacts on Combat. They define various portions of actions that can be taken and the effects of Abilities. The Keyword itself is used as a shorthand to reference its definition.

Genetic Traits

Heroes all have Genetic Traits, some of which are Active and some Passive, all of which are broken down into Basic, Advanced, Elite, and Exalted tiers.

Active Traits

A Hero’s Active Traits can be activated once per Battle and use an Action. They have no Mana cost.

Active Hero Traits

Passive Traits

A Hero’s Passive Traits are applied while the Hero is present on the battlefield. These Traits can stack, but some have limits.

Passive Hero Traits

These are the cornerstones of the Combat System for DeFi Kingdoms. As mentioned, they are still subject to change, so please keep that in mind. We are excited to continue bringing you more information in the lead-up to the launch of Combat!
