Bold adventurers, the time for battle approaches! Will you seek fame or will you earn infamy? Through a new partnership between DeFi Kingdoms and Metis Labs, the Colosseum brings PvP battle to the Kingdoms on the Metis blockchain!

Pinch yourselves, this is not a dream! We will be launching the new Colosseum zone on Metis, dedicated to PvP, in three phases. The first phase, private matches, includes the option to customize fight requirements and add wagers. Following that will be an automated tournament system, where we will host ongoing tournaments with lucrative prize pools! Finally, the third phase adds to that system and allows anyone to create and host their own tournament with their own requirements and prizes.

Player vs Player combat will utilize the same 3v3 turn-based battle system that is used in our Mad Boar and (newly released) Bad Motherclucker Void Hunts! This greatly anticipated continuation of our game opens the door for players to face off against each other in a variable stakes environment, offers highly incentivized tournaments, and brings the spirit of competition to DeFi Kingdoms! Be prepared for a monumental year as our team delivers deeper and more compelling gameplay than ever before!

This endeavor deserves a worthy partner, and we have found that in Metis! Metis is an Optimistic Rollup Ethereum Layer 2 Network, launched in May of 2021 and has seen tremendous success, soon to become the first Ethereum Layer 2 to decentralize its sequencer, enabling native staking. With a thriving DeFi ecosystem, the Metis team has been looking to expand their gaming presence and, as long-time fans of DeFi Kingdoms, we all sought a way to work together! The Metis network inherits the security of Ethereum, has a vibrant community, and a dedicated vision of the future.
