We know you’ve all been waiting for this patch, and we are pleased to bring you a guide on what to expect!First and foremost, the new name. You’ll hear this in reference to what we had previously called “gigapatch”, which we have officially named A Hero’s Best Friend.Cows can be Best Friends tooFeature ReleasesThis patch includes many new features, which we are incredibly excited to finally bring into the world! Unlike many previous releases, this patch will be a continuous rollout, in order for us to do incremental testing as we release each feature and ensure everything goes smoothly.The rollout will begin next week and is expected to continue over approximately one week. Some of the features you can expect in this patch include:Many contract upgradesRevealing of Gathering Profession Bonuses for existing PetsBlue & Grey Pet Ultra Odd VariantsCrafting Pet Treats & Feeding PetsPet Feeding Power-UpGreen Egg HatchingBonding Pets to HeroesDFK Duel Season 4Skill Level 10 Profession QuestsApplication of Gathering Bonuses to all Profession QuestsTo start the rollout of A Hero’s Best Friend, many contracts will need to be temporarily disabled for downtime in order to facilitate upgrades for the rest of the features. More details on this downtime will be provided in advance.Launch EventsAdditionally, during the rollout phase, we will also be holding multiple promotions! Here is the breakdown:Treat CraftingFirst, with the introduction of Pet Treat Crafting, we will have a “while-supplies-last”, Craft 10, Get 1 Free promotion! This will be done by transaction, so 10 or a multiple of 10 of the same type of Treat must be crafted in one transaction to qualify. In total, 5,000 Pet Treats will be given out in each realm in this promotion, with 2,500 immediately available and the other 2,500 added 12 hours after release, to ensure everyone has an opportunity to join in the fun! The total Treats include both Regular and Premium Pet Treats combined, so whichever are crafted first will also be what’s given.Edit: We heard the excitement and feedback around the Craft 10, Get 1 Free promotion and have made a change in order to ensure that all players can participate!We are switching the Craft 10, Get 1 Free promotion from a limited supply to a limited time! For 24 hours, starting with the introduction of Pet Treat Crafting, every 10 Treats of the same type crafted within the same transaction will receive 1 additional Treat of that type free! Happy crafting!Pet SnapshotSecond, two weeks after the release of Green Egg hatching, we will be taking a snapshot of all hatched Pets held in wallets. This snapshot will be used for a Sampler Promotion! For every Pet you own on DFK Chain or Klaytn, you will receive one Regular Pet Treat via airdrop. This includes previously hatched Pets from all eggs. Exact timing on the snapshot will be announced in advance.Pet Hatching EventFinally, using the same snapshot above, we are also announcing the Pet Extravaganza Promotion! Everyone who hatches at least one egg during that two week period will be entered into a drawing. Those players will receive one entry for every Pet that they own on DFK Chain or Klaytn at the time of the snapshot, regardless of when it was hatched.This snapshot includes all Pets hatched from all eggs, as long as the wallet owner hatches at least one egg during the two-week event period.The prize list for this event can be found in the spreadsheet below, but please note, the number of Pets hatched for testing is currently unknown.
