February 7th, 2022 — Patch Notes

This week at Legends of Venari, we’re celebrating the Lunar New Year with our special Lunar New Year event, which lasts until February 28th! Join in the festivities by using the new event baits, Steamed Morsax and Ayena Roast Lurken, to bait and catch the new event exclusive Venari, the Jin’Hu! Make sure to pick up some bait at the City of Tecta and Mirala before setting out on your expeditions to catch this majestic predator.

Also in this patch is the long awaited Memory update. Yup, it’s finally here alongside a major expedition page redesign for clearer animations and responses to the actions you choose during the expedition.

For now, enjoy the Lunar New Year event and best of luck on catching the Jin’Hu! There’s plenty of bounties to chase after during the event so good luck!

FULL PATCH NOTES (February 7th, 2022):

LUNAR NEW YEAR EVENT:

• New Venari: Jin’Hu
• New Tier 2 Bait: Steamed Morsax (2800 cost)
• New Tier 3 Bait: Ayena Roast Lurken (16,000 cost)

Event begins with this patch and will conclude on February 28th at 10 AM EST. Both baits are available at the shops in the City of Tecta and Mirala Town.

MEMORY SYSTEM:

• Combo answers are now OUTLINED for your next encounter whenever you answer with a correct answer.
• Memory will be reset each time the “combo limit” is hit. Whenever you capture 10x of the same Tier 2 variant or 3x of the same Tier 3 variant, you’ll receive a message stating:
  “The Venari in the area have become aware of your tactics and will react differently the next time you encoutner them”. This means that your combo has now reset and will need to be rediscovered again.

EXPEDITION PAGE REDESIGN:

• Combo Counter moved to where old prompts would appear, changed from bars to stars
• Added animations to each action during the minigame for more emphasis.

BUGFIXES:

• In rare cases, certain Venari didn’t have their preferred bait bonuses applied correctly and their Feed Prompt was inconsistent. This has been fixed.
• Missing sale timers at shops fixed
• Fixed a bug where older expeditions didn’t process correctly and caused recently ended expeditions to disappear from expedition history.
