DeFi Kingdoms is proud to be innovating the play-to-earn and cross-chain gaming space. With the announcement of Kingdom Studios, DeFi Kingdoms is bringing a lot of fun new features to and partnerships for the community. Our team is continually growing to be able to help build and grow all of Kingdom Studios.

As many of you already know, we have been planning on cross-chain expansions since day one. The vision for DFK has always been to reach out to different blockchains and bring in users from across the entire crypto ecosystem into the DFK metaverse, gamifying DeFi and blockchain protocols in ways that area easy to understand, and tying it all together in a cohesive and fun platform. One of the founding visions for DFK was to create a DeFi token that had more utility than just a regular DEX. If you’re already a player of DeFi Kingdoms, you know part of this utility comes from it being used for in-game actions like summoning Hero NFTs, leveling up, etc. It also can be deposited into the Jeweler to earn returns from xJEWELs, sharing in the in-game transaction fees and garden emissions. Hero NFTs provide additional utility by allowing players to augment their garden emissions and increase their ROI. Even with all that already we are adding more.

Fun things ahead include:

Leaderboards

A collection of player driven stats while playing DeFi Kingdoms that show the top contributors in categories such as (but not limited to): most Bloaters caught by Hero, most quests completed by wallet/hero, most quest items awarded in a day/week by wallet/Hero, etc.

Hero Contests

Lands are extremely valuable assets in DFK, and we’ve spent a lot of time planning the perfect way to get them into the hands of our players. Continuing in the spirit of giving back to the community, whereas other projects oftentimes simply sell their Lands to their communities directly, we want to share the opportunity to become beneficiaries to the land auctions with the players by competing in Hero Quests. In fun new ways to use your hero NFTs and their unique stats, Heroes will compete in stat contests of Strength, Wisdom, Luck, and more.

Pets

All of those mysterious eggs players have been accumulating, finding, and even trading for in the marketplace will soon have a hatching function. Introducing new NFT pets! Pets will come in a fun variety of types and shapes, and add new benefits to players as future features roll out.

Travel System

Many of the future state DeFi Kingdoms milestones from the PVE evolution to limited time events, will rely on a function that allows heroes to move around the different maps. Whether solo or in a created party of travelers, a new Travel System will help players move across the maps to explore all of the cool new upcoming adventures.

Combat System

Similar to Travel, the future enhancements of PVE and PVP both have a critical reliability on how combat will work. A new combat system seen here, is actively being worked on that will help build the foundation for an RPG experience using your NFTs. Teams of up to 3 Heroes can be formed to engage in random encounters with monsters of varying difficulties. Players will also be able to compete in tournaments with other players as they climb the ladder to be the best in the Kingdom.

These are just some of the many exciting features on our timeline that will add further utility and fun to the DeFi Kingdoms Universe.

Merch

Everyone has been asking, and we’re finally giving the people what they want! A new Merch Store will be available at kingdomstudios.io for you to pick up your favorite DeFi Kingdoms and Kingdom Studios apparel and collectibles.

Wallet Options

Multiple wallet options will now be available for players to access the Kingdoms. This includes Metamask, Coinbase Wallet, and Harmony. When looking at which additional wallets we wanted to support, CB wallet stood out with the base of 12mm users. With our partnership with CB Wallet, we have an additional focus on education and onboarding to make it easier for the 90mm broad Coinbase user base to get into DeFi and blockchain gaming

DFK Chain

As previously announced, Kingdom Studios will be launching DeFi Kingdoms Blockchain on March 30, 2022. Partnering with Ava Labs, DFK Chain will be the home of the previously announced Crystalvale expansion. One of the greatest advantages of building DeFi Kingdoms Blockchain on our subnet is to empower JEWEL.

Jewel for Gas:

25% to floating Quest Fund (dedicated solely to players)

Outpost and Bridge

The goal of Outposts are to remove or lower barriers of entry into DeFi Kingdoms. DFK Chain will include an integrated fiat onramp, DEX JEWEL:AVAX pair through Pangolin, and bridge directly into DFK Chain through Synapse.

The single biggest pain point to onboard new users is having gas to even start. Partnering with Ramp, DeFi Kingdoms players will now be able to enjoy multiple fiat-to-crypto payment options and top up their wallets or dApps instantly within the game. People can start playing in minutes rather than days.

The Outpost will go live on March 29th (the day before Crystalvale launches).

Dex Pairs

On launch day, the only DEX pair available will be JEWEL <> xJEWEL. This will be closely followed by CRYSTAL <> JEWEL & AVAX in the first week. By the first month, there will also be CRYSTAL pairings with:

• Blue Chips -> BTC, ETH, & MATIC
• ONE
• Stables -> USDC & UST

xJewel is double earning in Serendale while earning in Crystalvale.

Incentives

In partnership with Avalanche Foundation, DeFi Kingdoms will be incentivizing the early phase of the Crystalvale launch on DFK Chain with a total of ~$15mm in incentives: half in Crystal and half in AVAX, through the new Avalanche Multiverse incentives program. These incentives will be awarded as:

• Crystal Airdrops to existing DFK users
• DEX boosted rewards with AVAX
• Avalanche users air-drop rewards to claim in-game (this will include users of Crabada, Chikn, & Trader Joe)

New DFK Heroes

New heroes are coming! This is the great reveal of the new Berserker and Seer classes.

These new Gen 0 Heroes from Crystalvale will introduce new genes into the broader DFK Gene Pool, they will be bridgeable back and forth between Crystalvale and Serendale, and will have a new Advanced Class that is yet to be discovered.

Hero Duels

A lot of really cool things are on the timeline concentrated on filling in the gaps with rich content, mini features and side games like DFK Duel. Compete, fight, and earn some awesome in-game rewards. We’ve talked in the past about creating new faster term projects that roll out new content to the Kingdoms. Hero Duels will be one of the first of these that we create. A player versus player system that uses easy mechanics and stats from selected Hero NFTs, to have a “roll off” duel until a winner is declared. It’s so inspiring to see how far we’ve come in just the past 7 months since we first launched. Next week we are starting a new chapter as we launch our first ever expansion into Crystalvale, along with our groundbreaking new DFK Chain to power it.
