PvE matches are almost ready to be launched, and this will be your first real interaction with the MetaSoccer game. To prepare our community, we’d like to share the first-ever sneak peek of the gameplay! You’ll be able to see just how simple but challenging MetaSoccer is to play.

Let’s dig into it!

You’ll see two menus on top: Home and Squad.

Home

On Home, which will appear first by default you’ll have the possibility to play a friendly match, and you can also consult your current lineup as well as see the players that are part of your squad.

To start playing a game, you need to define your lineup and the positions that the players will occupy on the pitch, and you can do that in the Squad section.

Squad

In the lineup section, you can define the players that will be part of the initial team for the next match.

First, you can click on the formation you have and change it if you think it’s necessary — the blue button on the upper right corner of the pitch

Afterwards you can start selecting the Players you want for each position. Right below the pitch image you see a blank button with the option to “Add” — just click on that and then select the Player you want to add or replace. You may perform this action as many times as you want until you’re completely satisfied with your final Lineup.

During the match you’ll be able to make replacements according to your current results — you may make up to 5 replacements per game.

On the right you can see an overview of the players that are on your team, divided according to the positions they hold on the field, along with some insights on their status. The arrows represent the current status of the Players’ Morale, and then see their Role, Overall, Potential and Condition at the time.

Once you’re done, you can get to the real deal: playing the game.

Back to the Home screen, you just need to click on “Play Now.”

Match

During the match you’ll get an overview of your lineup and the players you have on the bench, as well as the other teams’. In the middle of the screen you can check the current result, minutes left and bellow that comments on the game.

When the game is over, you’ll receive a report with three sections:

  1. Match overview: shows the results, percentage of ball possession, total shots, shots on goal, any cards players may have received and indicates who was the best player.

2. Player rewards: shows the improvement of your players acquired after performing a match.

3. Prize reveal: and here comes the best part! Here you can see the total of $MSU and $MSC you gained, if you get to win the match of course.

Easy enough, right? Our main goal is to create a gaming environment that is intuitive, graphically appealing and that makes the whole experience enjoyable — and we believe we got it right!
