Welcome to the new and improved Fancy Birds Tournament Schedule!

In order to maximize marketability and increase engagement, the Fancy Birds tournament schedule has been upgraded. The enhanced schedule will have new weekly tournaments and higher-stakes monthly tournaments, some with different types of prerequisites for eligibility. Get ready to flap it out for monthly $5k’s and $10k’s in addition to the weekly tournaments. With larger prizes, variations to competition requirements, and longer lead times to higher stakes competitions, Fancy Birds will reach a wider and more varied player base. See below for the details.

The Breakdown :

Calendar for month of May 2022

• There will be a one time “Welcome” $5k tournament this Thursday (the 5th of May 2022). This tournament will be open to all owners of Genesis or Season 1 Baby Birds.
• $1k Weekly Tournaments will be held on Mondays and Wednesdays. The tournament type will be randomly drawn from a pool (see below).
• $5k Monthly Tournaments will be held on one Thursday per month (see weekly calendar below). The tournament type will be randomly drawn from a collection of tournaments (see below).
• $10k Monthly Tournaments will be held on one Thursday per month (see weekly calendar below). The tournament type will be randomly drawn from a collection of tournaments (see below).
• There will also be special events and tournaments that will occur in addition to the tournaments outlined here. Expect guild, scholar, streamers, and other types of special tournaments and contests.
• The new initial variants of tournaments will be rolled out over the next several weeks and it will be randomized in the future.
• Tournaments will continue to reward the top 15% of players with the highest scores.
• Tournaments will open at 19:00 UTC on their slotted day and remain open for 24 hours.

Tournaments as organized by the week

The initial Tornament Collections will be as follows:

$1k Weekly Tournament Collection

Quick fly tournament: Regular tournament style (any owned bird can fly).

1up Tournament: Everyone has an “extra life” during the tournament. This allows a player to hit a log and continue flying once.

Genesis Birds: Only Genesis Birds can enter.

Baby Birds: Only baby birds can enter.

$5k Monthly Tournament Collection

$5k Monthly Random selection qualifier: Randomly selects players who participated in tournaments over the last two weeks to get entered or qualify. Picks 60% of the total previous participants (with a minimum of 300 participants, otherwise cap is removed).

$5k Anything Goes: Any owned bird can enter.

$5k Babies Only: Only baby birds can enter.

$10k Monthly Tournament Collection

$10k Babies Only: Only baby birds can enter.

$10k Fancy Fliers: Mutant, Legendary, Full-Set, and “Prestiged” birds only (babies included as long as prerequisites are met).

$10k Flock Fliers: Players must own 2 genesis birds and 4 baby birds to enter.

Other Changes to Tournaments:

With the introduction of the new tournament schedule, there will no longer be any free tries unless offered by a future Tournament Pass. Players will need to pay for entry.

New entry fees for tournaments will be 5 FNC for the $1k level tournaments, 15 FNC for the $5k level tournaments, and 25 FNC for the $10k level tournaments, per entry. Tournament payout schedule will remain the same for now.

Scholars will be temporarily unable to compete in tournaments, but there is a Competition Rental Dashboard currently in development. This should be completed in a few weeks. As previously mentioned, there will be special tournaments for scholars soon.
