With the Battle Game closing in on us (super exciting!), we are thrilled to be sharing some information to help players prepare for the Battle Game!

The first release of the Battle Game is expected to launch on Swimmer Network in May 2022.

The team would like to express our sincere apologies for the unexpected delay on our timeline as some members of our R&D team have been affected by COVID-19. Let us all wish them a speedy recovery!

In the first of a two-part article, we will be covering some updates on:

1. Crabada Levels, Stats and Abilities
2. Discipleships (Scholarships)

Without further ado, Let’s Crabbing Go!

1. The Crab-atomy

All Crabada come with 6 different body parts, each with a different attribute attached. The attributes are illustrated in the table below.

Bonus stats from body parts being in the same class will still apply.

Pincers/Claws define the Pincer Skill that each Crabada will possess. *snibsnib*

A list with the full set of Pincers/Claws and their correlating Pincer Skills will be released in the coming weeks!

My Eyes! I can see clearly now!

Though without Base Stats, Eyes will give Additional Normal Attack Effects that come in the form of Buffs to the Crabada itself, or Debuffs to the enemy.

Some Examples of Buffs

• Increase ATTACK
• Immunity (Prevent harmful effects)
• Invincibility (Take no damage)
• Recovery (Heals HP)
• Shield (Add a shield with HP)

Some Examples of Debuffs

• Decrease ATTACK
• Weaken (Additional damage taken for each turn)
• Unrecoverable (Prevents healing)
• Poison (Damage-over-Time effect)
• Stun (Causes next turn to be skipped)

2. Fly your Flags

As mentioned from the beginning, Factions will form an important piece of Crabada’s Lore and Gameplay. Here are some of the updates that will take effect in the first release of the Battle Game.

Individual Faction Bonus

Crabada will have a damage boost against the Crabada of a Faction that it has an advantage over.

For example:
ORGANIC will have a damage boost when it attacks a Crabada from ORE or ABYSS

3. Harness The Levels Within

Once Crabada are transferred into the Battle Game, they will inherit the Crabada Level System. Crabada Levels will directly affect the stat cap of each Crabada.

Here’s a breakdown of how the Crabada Level System works:

• Crabada Levels can be upgraded with Crystal Shells (New drops from Adventure Mode)
• $TUS will be required for upgrades at certain levels (E.g Level 10, 20, 30, 40…)
• A Crabada’s Level defines the cap for each the Crabada’s stats
• The level of a Crabada is capped by a Player’s Level, with a current hard cap of Level 99

When levelling up, the Crabada’s stats will not be increased permanently. Crabada Levels serve to increase its stats, and define its stat cap when a Crabada is Battling at full power.

Example of how levels will affect a Crabada’s stats:

• Level 1: HP = 100
• Level 2: HP = 110
• Level 3: HP = 130

4. My Hunger Grows!

In the Battle Game, a Hunger System is introduced. Hunger will affect the Level Efficiency of Crabada.

The Hunger Bar gradually depletes when Crabada participate in a Battle. Crabada need to be fed Food to make sure that they are Battling at optimal power.

• Food can be crafted by combining 5 pre-defined Material (New drops from Special Mining Zones)
• Hunger Bar is automatically refilled to maximum when a Crabada is levelled up
• Food cannot be sold or transferred in the first release of the Battle Game

Example:
When a Crabada is Level 12 with its Hunger Bar at only 20% full, the Crabada will only Battle at the Level Efficiency of Level 3 (Rounded up to the nearest whole number).

Calculation:
20%*12=2.4
2.4 rounded up to nearest whole number = 3

5. Discipleships

Are you ready to take on the role of a Mentor for your Disciples?

We fully believe in the concept of education and mentorship. The aim of Discipleships (also widely known as Scholarships) is to introduce new players to the exciting Kingdom of Crabada, and invite them onboard to be an active part of the thriving Crabada ecosystem.

Discipleships will be built natively to support the Battle Game using a Sub-Account System.

Here’s a quick rundown of what to expect!

• Discipleships are only available for Battle Game
• Disciple Accounts can be accessed from the Marketplace
• $CRAM will be used to create new Disciple Accounts
• Each Disciple Account will start with a default of 9 Crabada slots
• The number of Crabada slots in a Disciple Account can be increased by spending $CRAM
• Crabada need to be transferred into Disciple Accounts for Disciples to use

In the next article, the team will be releasing more information on game modes and mechanics in the Battle Game in the upcoming weeks so stay tuned!
